With our blog we'll attempt to keep our friends updated on our travels through Canada, into Alaska, and the return home.
We'll post photos and updates as we are able -- with the assumption that there will be
places where we are unable to connect to the
electronic world for a few days.

The truck
A year ago, in preparation for this trip, we purchased a new truck. After previous experiences with camper shells on pickup trucks SRD absolutely was not interested in having a heavy shell that needed to be removed or tolerated during the 95% of the time it wasn't needed. He found an elegant solution in a soft-shell (called
“Softopper”) that he can install and remove easily and independently. Today the
topper was installed. The truck has
already had its routine service, so it’s now ready to go!

Wow! Quite the prep! I love the route planning with Google points and the map. The cook's tent - great idea - I assume eating as well. Are you taking dog food? Will be following the blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good words, Roger. Yes, the screen room will be for cooking, eating, and drinking (I have no idea what Canadian beers are like). And yes, there will be dogfood. We just got our girl back from the groomers today. She is beautymous! That black coat would be nice in the winter. Not so much right now.
